The use, role and application of advanced technology in the lives of disabled people project

The overall objective of the project is to explore the challenges, barriers and facilitators to acceptance and acceptability of advanced technological devices designed to assist and support independent living.

The project is:

·       Exploring the learning challenges that contact with advanced technology presents

·       Attempting to understand the capacities of advanced technology to cater for individual choice requirements and

·       Exploring the limitations to flexibility of use.
