At IDRIS we conduct high quality research that is of use to disabled people, policy makers and practitioners. IDRIS has an international reputation for its ground-breaking work with disabled people.

IDRIS brings together leading academics from the foremost disability research centres across the UK and abroad to work together to create new knowledge for the benefit of the communities we serve. 

Currently IDRIS researchers are drawn from the disciplines of Social Science, Human Geography, Economics, Archtecture, Art and Design, Computing and Nursing.
